Angel Hair Pasta with Za’atar

An easy and complete meal that serves up a punch of flavor.

Angel Hair Pasta with Za’atar Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 Lb Angel Hair Pasta (1 Box)
  • 1 Tbs Salt
  • 1 Lb Baby Spinach (Fresh is best, but frozen works just fine)
  • ½ Cup Olive Oil (the better the oil, the better the flavor in recipes where the oil is a key ingredient)
  • 6 Cloves of Garlic (when I see this much garlic in a recipe, I just use the whole head, but that’s me)
  • ½ Tsp Cracked Red Pepper
  • 4 Tbs Za’atar
  • 1 Lemon Zested and Juiced
  • ½ Tsp Salt
  • 1 Tbs Za’atar for garnish

Instructions

  • Pasta Start 6 Quarts of Water Boiling with 1 Tbs Salt Add Angel Hair Pasta when water boils
  • Sauce - In another large pot, heat Olive Oil.
  • When shimmering, add Garlic and Spinach and stir as Spinach wilts
  • (Pasta should be cooking at this point)
  • When wilted, stir in Za’atar, Cracked Red Pepper, Lemon Juice, Lemon Zest, and ½ Tsp Salt.
  • Before draining pasta, add ½ cup of Pasta water to Spinach and stir. Keep another ½ cup of Pasta water in reserve.
