Green Salsa Savory Pie-lets with Cheddar, Banana Peppers, and Chili Crisp
With just a few ingredients, you can make a savory pie-let that is tasty, satisfying, and easily reheated for a quick hot snack. The combination of Green Salsa, sharp Cheddar, salty Banana Peppers, and spicy Chili Crisp is a perfect antidote for a day when you just want something yummy that doesn't involve a lot of ingredients or a trip to the store.
It's cold in New York City. So cold, in fact, that there are warnings about being outside given negative windchill temps, so what's in the cupboard that will yield something yummy?
We found Green Salsa (tomatillo sauce), sharp Cheddar (fridge), and a jar of homemade banana peppers (I grow them every year for situations like this one, but you can find them in any supermarket), a bag of pizza dough(also fridge), and an ever-present jar of Chili Crisp. Somehow, this would come together into something warm, satisfying, and delicious.
